Weekly Cycling Round Up 1-21-2015


To begin talking about the weeks most important happenings what has been on a lot our minds has been our friends.   This past week the Tri-Cities cycling community lost a very outstanding person and friend local Cyclist Dan McCormick. We are all saddened by his passing.  Dan McCormick 


On a lighter note this past seven days there has been exciting developments for local women's cycling. The formation of team Wild at Heart a new group of women cyclists focusing on mountain biking and promoting women's cycling in our area.  The team is starting of with a women's mountain biking 101 clinic at Bennington Lake near Walla Walla Washington this Saturday at noon.  For more information.  Here are Links to the teams Twitter and Facebook




Scott's Cycle and Sports Tuesday and Thursday night virtual training rides have started to gain momentum.  This ride is done via an application software called BKool. Steven and the guys at the Hermiston shop been creating creating a live multi player ride that riders can log into and ride from home or at the Hermiston shops normal indoor training rides starting at 6:15.  The Kennewick Shop  joined the fun last Tuesday as Greg, Steven, Nate and Davids avatars along with a slew of others completed a course featuring some tough sections.  Steven designed some custom sections in the ride including Nate's Sprint and Uncle Brian's climb for fun and motivation.
